This is the type of restaurant for which you wonder if you want to write a review. Reason? You want to keep this gem for you and make sure it’s not victim of its success. A staff really friendly (we came with our dog and they were so kind with him), a delicious food and a super terrasse under the shade of huge trees. A gem in the center of Besançon that I can only recommend!

Nice spot looking over the square. Good food and several options for meat and fish lovers. Can cater for food allergies or needs like gluten-free. Enjoyed the steak tartare - suitable for coeliacs without the fries. The ice cream sundaes look popular!

Nice restaurant in the centre of Besançon
Not familiar with the red wines we took the advise of the waiter and we're glad we did. The restaurant offers a daily special (We had veal with a cold pasta side) and again it was worthwhile. Although there's indoor seating the outdoor seating on a warm summer's day is perfect. For dessert a \clafouti\ (a strawberry cake in a shallow dish) along with a cafe allonge (regular black coffee) .
Very good, took a coffee. Place to relax while watching people crossing the garden in front. To repeat.
