It's a place to park and have a picnic.
On the autoroute in France an 'Aire' is a rest area with toilets and picnic tables. We normally take sandwiches and a flask and have a small pic nic to enjoy the fresh air and scenery when travelling and avoid high cost service stations unless absolutely necessary.
Was lucky to catch some sunlight here after enjoying the ride up the mountain. Good place to catch a break.
Good place to stop on journey
The shower is very ugly smell, and unheard.
Crowded, dirty and very bad services during summer.
