Resident Taco is a great place to get a spin on a classic dish. The sheer variety of different flavors offered on the menu makes every stop in a different experience. I sampled a few of their tacos and I'll say that I enjoyed eveey bite. I'll be back in the future.

This was an example deconstructed food concepts gone wrong. I'm assuming these were supposed to be like street tacos, with an edge. But it did not translate well. The portions were too small. The seasoning was absent. The presentation was just... the beans did not add anything. The rice was from the frozen section of the grocery store. And I'm pretty the salsa was Pace.
Tacos are between 4-5 now. They are the small street tacos. The flavors were good but could be more pronounced with their own sauce...ie. short rib taco had a cinnamon flavor but would have benefited with the sauce it was cooked in....the pork belly meat was a little dry. Could have had more fat and the same....the flavor was good just more of it. Loved the fillings, pickled onions, cilantro, scallions....the smoky side sauce was good.
The tacos are actually decently good. Nothing special but solid tacos. But the service is awful. The staff treats customers as if they are an inconvenience and a nuisance for coming in the shop. They also frequently run out of tacos early in the day and don't make more so are unprepared for the rush. It's usually a coin flip if you can get breakfast tacos. Taco Joint across the street is way better in both food and customer service. But the service here is getting very unprofessional. There are better places to go
Some of the finest tacos in the dallas area. The flavors are excellent and highly varied. Expect to pay a little more per taco then other restaurant, but you won't be let down.
