Our experience with PODS was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had with any company ever. Every single step of the process was incredibly complicated, slow, painful, and expensive. And at the end, it was nearly impossible to get our stuff back. Be forewarned that PODS doesn't re-deliver your stuff to many, many, many zip codes. Please check if they'll actually deliver to you when you want to get your stuff back. If you aren't sure what your next address is going to be DO NOT HIRE PODS. They would not deliver our stuff to us so we had to orchestrate a very complicated and expensive series of events that involved moving twice. We had to move the POD from one warehouse to another, then do a delivery to a mini-storage space where we hired some movers to unload everything out of the POD, then pack it back into another moving truck and then finally, deliver it to our home. It was SO EXPENSIVE and so incredibly difficult to schedule. By far, dealing with PODS was the most difficult part of the entire process of selling one home, buying another, and then trying to move just a small portion of what we owned from the old home to the new. Do not hire PODS.

The experience was seamless. Just load. Call to take to storage until escrow closed. Called to have delivered. Finally unloaded. Scheduled to be picked up!! I did contact the City mgr of Sparks, to ask about duration Pod could be in my driveway (January 2020). I was told 30 days was the policy (I could not find anything equivalent anywhere in the city codes). If I needed more days than 30? I would just need to request more. Was very convenient. The few times I did speak with Customer Service they were very helpful. Good experience. Thanks :)
Would give 0 stars if that were an option. Horrible, horrible company. Total scam. Contracted dates mean nothing. I chose this company for the sole reason that the offered same day drop off and pick up and called MULTIPLE times to confirm. Was informed the night before my move that it would be delayed due to an error on their end and it would, in fact, not be possible to do same day. Already had movers hired to come and was too late to cancel so I lost that money. After getting through that stress, I've was informed they have to push the Pod delivery date to my new address back 11 days. Complete joke. My Pod was finally supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Just received a call that because THEY put in the wrong city and zip code for my address I will have to pay an additional route change fee. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I cannot express how horrible this entire experience has been!
