I had an unpleasant experience today. I went to look at Kate Spade hand bags and accessories for a birthday present for my aunt. While wandering around checking things out, I was approached by a sales associate asking how she may help me. I explained I was just looking for something Kate Spade, to which she replied "Unfortunately I don't have anything for you to buy that is on sale". I was caught off guard, not sure if she was saying what I felt she was implying. I simply replied "Oh that's fine, I'm not here for a sale, I'm just looking for a birthday present". She proceeded to stand there while I looked at some accessories, pointing out cheaper options, until I was hurried to check out. Now, I wasn't necessarily looking for a bag or clutch because I wasn't sure what my aunt has or doesn't have because she loves Kate Spade. This felt like a missed opportunity for her to maybe show me the latest collection or wallets or something. To insinuate that I couldn't afford something is an experience I've never encountered before. I left rationalizing her actions, thinking about how I was dressed casual today, in leggings and a sweater, and maybe I didn't look the most put together... but I shouldn't have been treated that way regardless of how I looked. I wasn't going to say anything later, but as today has gone on, I felt more and more upset about my experience. I don't want anyone to feel the way I did today.

Every time I go into the men's section I am greeted warmly and the staff is very helpful. The store is well put together and the merchandise is of good quality. For professional or semi-professional attire you really can't beat Dillards in the area.

I wanted to give a great review and to have Dillard's acknowledge Mr. Scott Hampton in the Reno store men's department. The employee whom we had asked for help, had connected my son and I with Scott, the men's department tailor specialist! I was looking for a nice outfit for my son to wear for my upcoming wedding and before Scott helped us we were seriously overwhelmed by where to even begin! Scott was awesome as he knew just by looking at my son what sizes and styles would look and fit best for him. He saved us so much time and was absolutely pleasant and very professional! We were so grateful and impressed by his help and knowledge! You have a gold star employee with Scott! Thank you for being such a great store with class and professional employees. I will shop your store more often just because of my experience at Dillard's!
