What is a Mark Group? A Mark Group evening consisting of communication games, led by trained Mark Group leaders, with social breaks and refreshments. The only real ‘goal’ is to have fun. You don’t have to do anything to have a good time. You can choose to be the center of attention, sit back and watch, or play anywhere in between. The only rule is, “Don’t do anything you don’t want to do.” We play three structured communication games at Mark Groups. The games are played from the viewpoint that everyone is perfect the way they are — and that there is nothing to fix. The first game is Mimicry, it’s an icebreaker. You pair with someone you choose and imitate what they say and do, then switch. The second game is Hot Seat: You can choose to be on the Hot Seat and you will be asked interested questions. You can tell the truth, lie or refuse to answer. The third game is Withholds: the goal is to reduce charge so that, at another time and place, you can communicate more effectively The price for a Mark Group is $10 or whatever - meaning another amount or something of value.
