One of my favourite places for breakfast in Renfrew! It may be just off of main street, but its a real hidden gem! :) The prices are amazing and the food is just delicious. You can not beat the customer service! Highly recommend checking out!

Everything I expected and wanted. Honest and delicious food made with some heart. Diner style eatery with 70's inspired decor. Staff were very pleasant and the food came out quickly. The atmosphere was warm and quaint. And all the other patrons seem to be very friendly.
Absolutely amazing. Our kids love the food there and so do we. We try to go or eat from here once a week if we can. Love there food.
Had a slip and fall accident now the owner has band me from the restaurant. So whatever you do don't slip and fall. Because if you take legal action they will band you from eating there. I don't have a problem with the food there just the owners attitude.

As far as small town diners go when you're camping or cottaging near Ottawa, this is definitely a go to. The WAKE ME UP ALL DAY BREAFAST menu will satisfy all cravings. We got the Mexican and Greek Omelets and a Full side of hashbrowns and tast. Pancakes for dessert. With friendly staff, diner vibe, tasty pancakes and thick bacon, the atmosphere was superb... until we noticed the elderly folk staring at our table. The star was taken away for customer prejudice, I arrived with two colleagues who happen to be Indian, the entire hour we received glances and stares from the elderly, so much that one of my friends felt uncomfortable.
This, is the place to go for a good breakfast in Renfrew, very reasonable prices and home cooked food, we have made this our "go to" breakfast place for years for a reason. Step'N Back Diner is always accommodating and always friendly and we ALWAYS leave full. If your looking for a friendly atmosphere, and a very good meal that will fill you up and get your day started. Then this is the place for you.
Great food, fun atmosphere. Really good with kids. Will be going again.
