Renfrew, United Kingdom

A bit of a challenge getting down the wet cobbled slipway but always a great crossing. Lots of history here, and local knowledge.

Gets you between Renfrew and Clydebank in 1 minwhat's not to love? The Skipper of the Ferry is a Gent also. Only criticism would be on rainy days the cobbles leading down to the ferry can be slippy-maybe the council could look into that?
Great little service
Ferry across the River Clyde from Renfrew on the south side to Yoker on the north. I have never seen a timetable, I think it just runs and it stops about 9pm, Not sure of the fare as I used Zone card. It's also quite small although I have never seen many people use it. The old ferry was better it ran all night and also took cars, it's now tied up at Finnieston where it was used as a music venue but now I believe defunct in need of repairs
Only small no cars, enough for 10 people or 5/6 bikes only. Driver will come get you if he sees you are waiting so never a long wait. Bus stop style shelter each side altho no cover from rain on ferry itself. Free parking on street renfrew side. Good pub to wait in (Ferry Inn) if problems. One way ticket only (see tariff pic). Pay the driver.
Good service but can be a little slow off peak.
