This M4A3(76)w is located in Beffe. It belonged to the 1st or 2nd platoon of “C” company of 771st tank battalion. During a move from Magoster to Marcourai on the 8th of January 1945, this Sherman was hit by a daisy chain of mines which set the tank on fire. This happened just outside Magoster and one person died between Samrée and Amonines, the Sherman was left there until 1984. Now it is a memorial for Task Force Hogan.

Mooie streek om te wandelen. Verre zichten. Tank is mooi opgelapt. De schade, opgelopen tijdens de slag van de Ardennen, is goed te zien. Ter nagedachtenis van de bevrijding van Rendeux. Het Duitse offensief is hier niet ver vandaan -Gleize- tot stilstand gekomen. Daar staat trouwens nog een prachtige Tigertank die ’gekocht’ is met een fles cognac.
Char Sherman M4A3 US WW2, qui participa à la terrible bataille des Ardennes, bien restauré, situé à un petit carrefour dans un petit village et bien mis en valeur, visible depuis la route, manque quelques pièces notamment les chenilles,facile d’accès, à voir...
Prachtige Sherman tank die herinnerd aan het Ardennen offensief uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
