We had put off building our extension for some years partly because of the anticipated challenges and upheavals that it would entail. I am pleased to say we have been delighted with both the outcome and the experience of working with Simon. We had a rough idea of what we wanted but were not fixed in how this should be built. We found Simon an excellent architect to work with in this respect and enjoyed sitting down at the kitchen table with him and pen and paper and talking through different ideas. His final suggestion for the design, which exploited some flexibility in the planning rules, was inspired. We were also pleasantly surprised by the hassle free nature of the build. Simon managed all interaction with the builders including dealing with the inevitable things that go wrong. I was relieved to leave this to a specialist who we could trust to be on our side. The resulting extension has been a very great pleasure to live in and is much commented on by visitors to the house

Of all the architects I have dealt with privately and in business over 60 years, Simon Walter and his team were by far the most 'user friendly'. They did not carry the oft found delusions of grandeur or self-importance and they listened very carefully indeed to their clients desires and wishes, putting up reasonable structural and aesthetic objections where they saw fit. Their pièce de resistance was caused by a problem with the work on one of the roofs. With no question or resort to Agreements, Simon and the husband and wife contractors worked through a Sunday of very heavy rain to rectify the problem. Simon always trod a careful path between the sometimes divergent views of my wife (the boss) and myself (the pocket)! It all turned out for the best and we have a small gem of a retirement home of which we are proud, and which above all gives us comfort and pleasure. Thank you very much Reigate Architects.

Reigate Architects (Simon Walter and his team) provided an excellent service through conceptual design, planning permission to building regulation approval. The creative solution to our renovation/remodel was far beyond our original expectations and I firmly believe that it is worth starting the process with ideas but an open mind as to possible solutions. The quality of solution and accuracy of design drawings was commended by our builders.
