After my dad passed away at the beginning of September I contacted this company with regards to his life insurance. They were very helpful and explained that they were very sorry for my loss and they understand its a difficult time and would do everything to make the situation as painless as possible. They also explained that claims are usually settled in 30 days except in some exceptional cases it can be up to 60 days. This all sounds great except it has now been 4 months and I am still waiting for them to process my claim. Every time i call up I am told they are waiting for more information from the GP or they are awaiting confirmation that payment has been made from the GP. However everytime I contact the GP they tell me they have not received a request for information or they have not received payment to release the information. This company does absolutely everything to stall payment to you at a time you don't need this kind of stress. Please don't use this company unless you want the stress and financial burden after a loved one has passed while you try to get them to keep you updated. I cannot believe people are giving this company anything more than 1 star, I would give zero if it was possible. **update after speaking with them yet again and response to AIG below ** It has now been nearly 5 months and still no closer to a resolution. Still keep telling me they are waiting for the GP. Every time i speak to the GP they couldn't be more helpful and explain they have sent all the information requested. If these people just picked up the phone instead of sending an e mail, waiting 2 weeks to follow up and then sending another e mail this could have been sorted months ago. I urge absolutely anyone thinking of using thus company to please think twice so you don't have to go through the same great myself and others have to go through at the one time in life when you don't need anymore stress and hardship.

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT THIS COMPANY FOR OVER 2 MONTHS NOW, AND HAVE MADE NO PROGRESS WHATSOEVER. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THIS COMPANY. HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT THEM FOR OVER A MONTH, BY PHONE & BY EMAIL WITHOUT SUCCESS. IS ANYONE THERE????????? THEY'RE HAPPY TO COLLECT MY MONTHLY PREMIUMS, BUT CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO HELP ANSWER A SIMPLE QUERY. BE WARNED
