We reckon (and we are fnc fanatics!) that this famous Essex chippers is one of the best in the world. Enormous helpings, fresh fish and perfect batter. A medium cod is over 12 inches long! All of the usual traditional English accompaniments available: mushies, pickled gherkins and eggs, etc. Despite changing hands a few times it never seems to drop in quality. Was a winner some years ago in the Daily Mail’s best fish and chips in Britain. Should still hold a place- in anybody’s book.

After a very disappointing phone call this morning it’s a shame you couldn’t take a credit card payment over the phone from family who are overseas. I know it’s not what you usually do but in these strange times as a one off maybe you could have gone out of the box and even seemed like you cared. This was for a very loyal long term Elderly customer who buys from you every week and has for many many years we just wanted to give him a surprise.
