Every trip into Paper Umbrella is a delight, whether I am buying a special gift or something for myself. I've purchased beautiful and hilarious cards, sassy (and comfortable!) socks, funny home goods, gorgeous decor items, and delightful stationery products. They stock a wonderful selection of products, including things from local folks. The customer service is always excellent and I am always excited to see what new things they will have on my next visit.

I was asked by my grandmother to find a birthday gift for my mother. I figured that I would support a small business so, I went to The Paper Umbrella. I had never been there before but, I figured they'd have something that my mom would like. I looked around for a while and I couldn't find that perfect gift, but I found some pencils that I thought she would use. So I hastily purchased them because the store was closing. As I checked out I was NOT informed that they had a no return or exchange policy in place at this time. I thought about my purchase all night and I wasn't 100% happy with my choice so I went back today, January 12th. I was told that I could not return or exchange, but, I could come back tomorrow and talk to the owner. I left and sat in my vehicle for a bit because I was not happy. I decided to go back in and talk to the employee again (I didn't get her name but she had red hair). I explained that I could not return tomorrow due to having to work late, and if we are to minimize the spread, why do I have to make an unnecessary trip out. She refused to give me a refund. So I asked her to contact the owner and ask. The employee decided that sending a text was more effective than a phone call. This resulted in me having to wait by the front counter for at least 15 minutes while other people were checking out. What got me even more upset is that she didn't tell any of those people that their items were final sale. I think by this time she was annoyed that I wasn't giving up and gave me a cash return. I couldn't believe the terrible customer service I recieved. This was my first time ever going there and my last. This whole ordeal could have been avoided if I was just told yesterday while checking out that it was a final sale.
Paper Umbrella is one of my favourite places in Regina because it's full of magic and there is something for everyone. Theresa and Brad (owners) are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their products which helps make a fun and easy going shopping experience. Coming into Paper Umbrella is a breath of fresh air.

Shopping at Paper Umbrella was like stepping into a small town, where an instant taste of familiarity is felt. The selection of products are unmatched and the friendly service provides comfort in purchase decisions. A definite add to any shopping excursion.
Amazing selection, ideas, and outta the norm stuff staff took the time to talk and give plenty of pointers. Thank you guys.
Paper Umbrella is really the only place to get the essential stationary supplies I need for teaching in Regina. Owners are great.
