Roadtrip. Strangest I've ever seen, yet somehow very nice park. Strangest for it's location of course, which is in the middle of very industrial zone. We drove two times near it before realizing that this is it, the park is there, right next to the factory and the train tracks. Yet, 5 stars in my rating to the wonderful people who build a great oasis in such unpleasant place. Deer, elk, buffalo, plenty of trees, playgrounds, clean swimming pool, picnic tables. All free of charge.
*July 2017**Note: Previously rated higher in 2016...this year it is half as good. - Signs say : Super slide and Train open by reservation only due to budget constraints. Seems like less to do and NO geese during the day. Concession looks bare, no signs of what they sell if anything! Pool was closed beginning of July but was open 3rd week on our visit. There was a huge daycare camp roday which took the capacity of pool but us 2 extra were allowed. Not fair to people driving there to be turned away. July 2016 Free admission, great for a dip or jumping off diving board. No shallow part-4ft is shallowest to 9 ft. Under 12 without adult must pass swim test- 2 widths ofpool. Small swim rings/flutter boards allowed. Opens at 1 in summer, gets busy by 1:30. Concession stand with good prices
Rating is for delivery to steel mill. Delivery address leads you to a residential subdivision. There are 2 "Armour Rd"s in town. Phone directions to entry gate not correct. Control signage is confusing as you wait for a red light that never turns green. (Run the 1st red light to get to end red light!) Took 45 minutes of wandering thru the empty factory to find a person to ask about unloading. Another 30 minutes for unloaders to arrive.
