Excellent community playground in a beautiful park space. The playground is well spread out with many structures for varying age groups and style of play. Mostly a sand base with one area that is rubber padded for little ones. Several climbing structures including a bouldering wall. Highlights include well spaced picnic areas with picnic benches and BBQ pits; bathrooms close by; many benches in the area; lots of large tree cover for shade; ample parking; and lots of garbage and recycling bins contributing to a tidy area.

Nice, clean and well maintained playground with many attractions for the little ones. Some structures are a little worn out, but nothing is really bad here. Cleanup crew and maintenance are visiting daily and keeping the place attractive and safe.

Great park to hangout with friends and family when the wether is good! You get view to the lake and the kids can play in the playground or at the grassy park. At the place there's picnic tables and BBQ pits( you will need to cleane it or put som tinfoil if you like to eat your food clean like me haha) . overall great experience, make sure to come early to get a a place to sit if you want to be close to the playground! big parking lot as well.

The picnic areas were spaced well apart, giving each group plenty of space and privacy but not so far that you felt isolated. It was a pleasantly communal space. The playground seemed in good repair and was definitely popular. Plenty of seating was available around the park and the bathrooms were easy to find and as clean as can be expected on a day with hundreds of people in the park. Parking was tight due to the sheer number of people in the park and would be more than adequate on a regular day.

A really nice place to spend a warm day with family. One of the best playgrounds in town is located in the beautiful Wascana park. There are washrooms by the playground and a handful of first-come-first-serve outdoor kitchenettes. Each kitchenette has 1-2 picnic tables and a cooking grill for use with briquettes. For the older kids, there is a wide open grassy area for activities like frisbee, soccer, etc. Also within a 5-10 min walk from candy cane park is the science centre and a free outdoor skatepark.
