Lovely place, two young girls in charge and brilliant they both were, fine selection of cakes, scones, teas and coffee. Fascinating location. (Why don't main line trains stop there any more?). It is a tasteful museum in its connection with the film \Brief Encounter\ too. It could be over the top but it certainly isn't. Beautiful piano too... Wonder if it's for sale....

A little jem of a place. The food was lovely, the staff incredibly helpful and friendly, and the children's play room (located next to the refreshment room) was a great place for my little girl to play. The volunteers in The Heritage Centre were wonderful and I would highly recommend giving this place a visit. We've loved our day!

Nice atmosphere, served by a very friendly young chap. It suited me to visit during off-peak season in order to savour the atmosphere.

Great menu ...carvery at weekends ..good parking.....snacks and main meals ..historical film location
