First off Student scores are not everything. My very good friend children attended this school for a better part of the year. Her son's teacher, amazing! Her daughter's teacher... not so much. She would pull her out of the after school program without informing anyone so no one would know where she was was when her mother would come to pick her up, she actually one time just kept her in her class after school without anyone's permission. She was supposed to go to parent pick up. Her daughter complained about her teacher being mean and always mad. The very last straw was when she came home and said the teacher SLAPPED her on her arm because she was mad she wasn't doing her math work. Informing the principle and the office people got her no where. They just don't believe her claim. I might add this child is very honest and loves everyone and is one of the happiest children I have the pleasure of knowing. It's got to the point where she is switching her children's school. After the principle rolled his eyes at her when we went in to turn in the inter-district transfer and instead of taking the 5 seconds it takes to sign the paper he walked into his office. At first she just wanted teachers switched, but he for some reason wouldn't approve it. He said it was a \bad fit\ (because having your child in a classroom where the teacher SLAPPED her is a good fit?) So it's gone from that to jumping ship because of the lack of support from the staff. It's all about the children until they say something you don't want to deal with? Then they are lairs right? I'm sure others have had much better experiences, but I had to share that there is a teacher at this school that has no business being around children.

I went to turtle bay from 5th grade to 8th grade and the staff and teachers are awesome. Mr.anderson the principle JJ the music teacher and mrs.lynch mrs mac mrs bedwell mrs Cole mr sailer mrs Howe mrs Skelton, they’re all awesome. You should send your kid here. Oh and also mr Marin and mr gaddy.
My son goes here and has been since he sable to and it’s amazing school and I feel like we are one big family there !! Love turtle bay !!!
