During the summer there is a pretty good-sized Farmer's Market right behind City Hall, 777 Cypress. There are people selling fresh veggies, chicken and duck eggs, as well as hand raised, artisan meats. It's a good place to meet people and have a cup of coffee and a tamale. They open at 7:30am every Sat. morning until about noon. There is a sculpure park at this address that surrounds local government buildings such as the City Hall and the Police department. The entire area has many handicap parking spots with most of the wheel chair ramps located close to the posted parking areas.
