I was pleased to see that the current guard was replaced but now he is back. I’ve seen him on a few occasions deliver what appears to be food and other unknown items to the local homeless. Based upon the negative reviews of the homeless I don’t think giving homeless food and other items is good for trying to rid them off the property on top of being in Securitas uniform. In asking the local homeless was told his name was Chris and said he was super nice and had many nice things to say about him.

The tax people are not at the library this year. But if you call the library they will give you a phone number to try and help you out. I think it was through United Way.

Quiet, large reading area with beautiful views of Shasta county. Very helpful staff.
The library is a wonderful library all librarian staff, volunteers and security are doing their jobs well and their part to comply with mandates regarding this pandemic while staying open for community..I truly pray all the homeless learn they are only quests, their poor behavior is tolerated and they do need to learn to respect their own lives in hopes they will start respecting others' right to a peaceful visit to Redding's library.
This library does very well with the resources available.
Helpful staff. Came to use computer & will return to get a library card. Very clean.
My college student who went there to study was told they could only stay an hour nobody in there this all because of covid such BS
