Even though this area recently burned in the devastating Carr fire, the trail has been reopened and offers a very pleasant hike. On this December day, the dogs found lots of water to play in, we discovered new sites with the views being opened up due to the fire. The Shasta mine site remains in tact and additional openings are visible now that the brush is gone. I would consider this trail moderate intensity due to the length of the trail and a few inclines. This trail intersects with other trails so it is easy to add miles. It's a multi-use trail, so expect to share with hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians. Enjoy!

Love the trail. Perfect incline to flat ratio for jogging. The Fire a while back did a number to it but it is beautiful.
Beautiful Even after Car fire. Highly recommend!!
Fun 3.5 mile trail. The mine may not be too much to look at now, but the small streams along the way are. As everywhere else in the county, watch for poison oak.
Nice trail little over 3 miles
