I've only been here twice (both times for an MRI) but both times it's been a great experience. In the situation you would go in there for, you really couldn't ask for anything better. Sure, it takes a while to get an appointment but once you do it's a very quick process. All staff that I have interacted with is very nice.

This was the third time that I've visited MD Imaging, all for scans of one sort or another. The building is quite large with a LOT of treatment rooms. They have patients coming in with everything from sprained wrists to brain tumors. At certain times of the day they get really busy which contributes to the cicus-like atmosphere. Checking in with a receptionist seems to take much longer than it should. Besides that, I have no complaints. The staff is polite and the facilities are modern and clean. This is not the kind of place that you would WANT to go to but if you need their services you could do worse.
They don't even deserve the 1 star but it is the lowest I could choose. My husband who has severe lung issues was provided face shields to wear in lieu of masks (since he cannot breathe with masks on). His long time doctor retired recently. In order to get signed up with another doctor, the new doctor is requiring a recent lung x-ray. My husband stopped in to have the x-ray done per MD Imaging requiring no appointments. They refused to perform the x-ray since he would not wear a mask. I wonder if they would even try to resuscitate him if he wore a mask and dropped from not being able to breathe? Way to go MD Imaging. this is the true spirit of patient care.
I have had nothing but excellent service from MD Imaging. Whether it was for myself and or my husband. My experience with them has always been nothing but 5 stars. Kind, professional, compassionate, and I never had to wait long before any procedure.
Always efficient and timely. The system is geared towards providing quality service at fair prices in a timely fashion. They also provide a variety of services, some require appointments, while some can be taken on a walk in basis, with doctors orders. Full cash pay at time of service usually gives you a 25% discount. The parking spaces are a little tight for pickups, but still negotiable.
They are fast and efficient Most of time. I have also seen a lot of cleaning going on inside the building. They also do covid screening in temperature check before you go in and require face Mask.
I have gone to MD Imaging for many years to have my yearly mammogram done. I've never had an issue and the staff have always been friendly. I usually go in July yearly but went in August last year due to other things going on. Have been having tenderness in one breast and it was hurting. I called to set up my yearly and they said they won't do it until August because I had it in August last year. I explained why I wanted it done earlier and they said I'd have to get my doctor to refer me for a diagnostic. Which would mean waiting to get into my doctor's office and more time passing. I called my insurance company and they said there's no reason why I couldn't do it any month as it's on a calendar year basis. I called MD back and they still refused, saying they follow California Radiology, blah blah blah rules. Really doesn't seem like they care whether I may have something going on or not. Early detection is best, isn't that their motto? Then why would they ignore a patient asking for a mammogram? Especially when my insurance covers the cost! Needless to say, I'm changing providers. Good riddance MD, thanks for caring (NOT).
Although the treatment services are great, the scheduling department is atrocious. Three months ago, my provider referred me to MD for a cortisone injection and advised me that I'd hear from MD within 7-10 days to schedule my procedure. After 2 weeks I called and was brusquely informed, "We'll call you!" A week later I called again and was promised a call back within 48 hours. Nope! After 4 weeks I finally learned they no longer perform that procedure. Then it took me another 2 weeks to get the injection scheduled at Mercy. More recently, I was scheduled for an MRI. MD called me the morning of my procedure to reschedule. I immediately called my provider to reschedule my follow up appointment. 20 minutes later MD called again and had to reschedule again - the new date is two weeks after my original appointment. Then I had to reschedule the follow up with my provider - who was already booked solid until New Years Eve. In the meanwhile, the pain that is the reason for my visits continues... If I show up late I'll pay a large penalty, but MD can delay my treatment with impunity.
