My brother and I had just finished golf. We were cold and hungry. We were passing and popped in to see if we could get something to eat and a drink. Very welcoming, nice food and a nice log fire to warm us up.

We went here for a meal it and it was very tasty and satisfying. The burgers were prepared with passion and tastes great. The portion size is more than what I excepted to be honest. The pub is very clean and staff is friendly. I recommend Red Lion if you are around that are hunting for a meal. Thanks

Came here at 6pm for dinner on a Tuesday with my partner. When we ordered there was no one else in the restaurant. 40 mins wait for food. Okay, not the end of the world. Food was average but reasonable for the price. Our plates were collected once we finished eating and we were not asked if we wanted dessert. We waited 15 mins and no one came so we got up and got our own menus from the bar. 10 mins later, still no one had come to take our order so we had to flag down a waitress and ask if we could have dessert. Didn’t take long for the desserts to come. The bread and butter pudding was hard and had clearly been microwaved. The waffle and ice cream was a shop bought waffle which you can get for 1 with a dollop of ice cream on. Oh and we had to flag waitress down for more drinks and no one ever came and asked if the food was okay. Overall, disappointing, mostly with the service. Will not be returning and would not recommend.

Good food, plenty of outside tables, beer from the Tring Brewery, great service, and good social distancing measures. How have I not been here before? Highly recommended.
