Wow! What great food! Came here Monday and Wednesday it was so good. This was in the 1st week they opened and boy were they busy. Definitely need to book and they're doing the \Eat out to help out\ so a real bargain. Very friendly staff, quick service and brilliant food (though I wasn't allowed to take photos!) Would come again but we're on holiday for only a week. We tried most of the menu between the 4 of us and it was all first class.

The food here was fantastic. I was expecting a typical pub meal but was pleasantly surprised. They have a good choice of vegetarian dishes and a wide selection of gin including one of my favourites,the Parma violet gin. Usually at restaurants there are only one or two vegetarian options but at the red lion there were a lot more to choose from. I had the vegetarian lasagne and it was delicious but the best part is the homemade chips!! The meals are very filling so I didn’t have desert but there was a good selection available on the specials board. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I would recommend booking a table as it gets quite busy. We went on a weekday and although it was quiet when we got there by the time we were leaving it was full. It is nicely decorated and has a warm, homely feel. There’s also a nice outdoor seating area at the back for smokers. There are not many parking spaces outside the pub but most people tend to park on the road outside the church. It is a lovely little pub and really enjoyed my meal here, can’t wait to go back again!
