We stopped off here for a drink whilst out on a countryside walk. The staff were friendly and all the covid safety measures were in place. We sat out in their garden and enjoyed the summer sun and a beer whilst watching the tractor at work in the fields opposite. We returned to the pub after a bike ride in the autumn and ate in the restaurant. The food was amazing which is why I decided to upgrade the star rating and update this review. The lady who served us was really nice and the food portion size was very generous and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very cosy and relaxing and we all enjoyed our afternoon. We hope to return again sometime soon.

I frequented the Red Lion over 40 years ago as my “local”. The present owners have done a nice job of improving the pub. The menu is simple but ample along with some decent beer. My choice was the Chicken and bacon pie with jumbo chips and peas. Excellent!! The Memsahib chose Salmon and broccoli flan, again with the chips and a side salad. Our son opted for a Cheese and bacon burger with fries. Overall, a very good lunch in a nice country pub. We will be going back. They even serve the food on real plates, none of this Slate or Wooden board nonsense. Bonus!!!
Great pub! The burgers and chips were excellent. There's a great select of veggie options too. Staff were so friendly and attentive and it was a cosy atmosphere. Even our dog Pepoa was made to feel welcome x
Lovely food. Such good value for money
Excellent. Well cooked, tasty food. Fantastic hospitality. I'm disabled, I was made very welcome and they really looked after me. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be going there more often and introducing our friends and family to this establishment.
