Very good quality, decent portions and prices. Not at all greasy either unlike some others. Also there's quite a lot of room in front of the counter so ideal if you're concerned about social distancing!

I agree with what others have said about the excellent quality of the cod and the chips, but want to add how delighted I was to find that Red Herring uses paper bags rather than environmentally-unfriendly polystyrene or plastic. This, for me, is a major plus. I'll be back! :-)

Super tasty fish, nice and fresh chips full of taste and not soggy at all, and friendly staff. Best fish and chips in the local area by far
NEVER GOING BACK ! I visit here (24/12/2018) and got a large chips, can of coke and chicken pie. The large chips is not large at all!! I have been to several places who's portions are much bigger. See the photo to compare the chips to a coke can.
