The security system itself, though very basic, and quite expensive considering, is fine. We haven't really had any issues with it. That being said, Ambusch Security itself is terrible to deal with. Last year they put on a referral promotion whereby if a current customer got another person to sign up for a security system, they would get a visa gift card (it's so long ago now I can't quite remember the amount, but it was in the hundreds). This was in October of last year. My friends signed up on our recommendation and we still haven't seen the gift card and when I asked them about it in January, we were told that Telus was handling it and they had no way of knowing when we would receive the cards. I just emailed them again a few weeks ago and crickets. It's really disappointing. Not to mention, Ambusch continues to advertise themselves as a local company on Red Deer radio, bashing the other out of town companies like Fluent, when in fact, they were bought out by Telus. There's nothing local about them anymore except the guy who does the radio ads. I'm so disappointed in this company and just biding my time until our contract is up.

My wife and I have been thinking about security for our home for a number of years, but always kept putting it off. I finally made it a priority to call and scheduled an appointment to find out more. Mike came out and filled us in on their product and the cost associated with coverage. We immediately signed up and have piece of mind knowing that we are protected. Mike was friendly and eager to educate us on the technology available. It's so easy to use and having the app on our phone is simple..
Wanted to sign up and have security installed in our house. Called multiple times with no answer, finally got a hold of a real person that said I would receive a call back. Never got a call back. After a few more days of waiting I went to The Phone Experts and they set me up with what I needed. Its a total waste of time trying to deal with this company.
Numerous false alarms due to inept installation. Failure to fix issues. Failure to monitor the place as alarms went off but no calls from the monitoring station and no alarm notifications in their system. They lied about ownership to get us in which is Fraud. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL. THEY ARE TOTAL GARBAGE WITH RUDE AND IGNORANT STAFF. So glad we dumped these clowns.
We had Ambusch Securities when we first built our house in 2004. Then somewhere over the years we went with another security company. But they were not local and expensive. I called Ambusch for a quote and they called back promptly, came over to give us a quote which we accepted. Then did our install and all this done within less than a week. I'm happy to have a local Alberta security company like Ambusch looking after us. Mike was great. And the installer was efficient and fast.
