The outdoor pool at the recreation centre, downtown red deer is by far a family favorite! 2 diving boards, a kiddie pool with a slide, a shallow end and a deep end make up the outdoor pool area. There are lounge chairs for viewers to sit in, but not a lot of them so get there early to claim yours. The rules, this year, are children under 8 must have adult supervision within arm's reach, at all times. It's very reasonably priced, less than the other 3 rec centres in red deer because there aren't any field houses or gums attached. There is a workout gym though. The change rooms are roomy and clean. The entire facility is well managed and we are always excited when it opens for the season, and sad when it closes. The indoor portion of the aquatic centre is open year round. It's nice too and has a hot tub and a sauna. Overall, a great facility!!
