Was filling for consent of guardianship as per my child’s therapist... not one lady at either the queens bench or provincial had any idea of where I should file like it was the first time they saw the paperwork which you can download straight from their site ! Sent me to family court where the lady was so rude and did not like the other gender what so ever . No one had a clue about anything not helpful or wanting to help a good person I feel for men’s that have a head on their shoulders these days especially when it comes to children. Red Deer courthouse equals poor service .

The courtrooms were handled to be safe, but that meant waiting in the hall until you were called, and many had to stand and wait. No single seats available in hall. But it was never overcrowded.

Explained to QB I make half of what I was with new job. Showed my schedule till end of 2020. Told old employment was not consistent and I finally had a new job that gave me a consistent schedule, could help me see my kids more and that I could not afford to pay the recalculated amount from MEP. Can't afford a lawyer, have to self represent, i don't qualify for legal aid. I ended up not explaining my side as I get nervous in court. Now I'm forced to pay more to mep so I have to work more to make more so I don't qualify for help. Im forced to work more so then I'm a bad father because I don't have time to see my kids then she gets more custody because I can't have enough time with them due to work. I have a hard time fighting for what's fair to me because I'm not a lawyer . I'm so disappointed in this system. Also she works under the table for cash, never had to submit her financial disclosure. Has a brand new car , 4 bedroom house and all the amenities and had a yearly income of 4000.00 on her line 150 for 2019. Now I have to be forced to find more higher paying work in a pandemic economy while still living paycheck to paycheck in my 1 bedroom basement rental. Remember the decisions you make in life justice because the gates are going to be closed for you because of all the suffering you have caused other people. Let see what snarky/ spiteful reply this gets.

Had a smooth experience submitting/processing a judgment. The first lady we spoke to (I think she was the manager/boss?) at the Court Of Queens bench, struggled to be helpful. She didn't seem to want to assist us in the full process, just dealt with the paperwork we brought in but leaving the rest of what we needed to do, to us to decipher. And the court process can be complicated. The second lady we got at the desk (I had to go back to the desk like 3 or 4 times) was very helpful, and for the rest of our time there that day it was smooth sailing. Her warmth and energy made a very negative experience less negative. We also got help from a blonde lady (Im terrible with names, sorry!) at the office upstairs, who commissioned our work...was amazing. Like...someone who is so kind they deserve a million raises! And who knew that it could be overwhelming and that there was a lot to go through. For those two women alone this place gets 5 stars. I hope they are appreciated.
