We stopped off here for a drink after a day walking along the canal. Beer is reasonably priced and a good selection to choose from, good food selection too, although we weren't planning on eating. Plenty of outside seating along the canal side with railings to separate for safety. Lots of parking spaces. Nice inside too.
We've not long moved to the area but I've been here loads already. The food is great; what I'd call \proper\ hearty pub food - but they're great for interesting veggie and vegan options, too. Great beer, local produce (eggs and jams on fake art the bar!), insanely reasonable prices and really hot on Covid safety measures whilst still being welcoming. Dog friendly and good kids options, I don't know what else we could ask for!
Excellent food, extremely tasty! Lovely polite friendly staff. Gorgeous dining room, very modern. Looking forward to a lovely sunny day so we can sit in the beer garden right on the canal. We'll be booking again very soon. Highly recommended.
Sadly, the food is still not good They have renovated the entire place, looks so much better while keeping the friendly staff. Menu is now fixed, before there used to be specials. Location 5* Staff 4* New design 4* Food 1-2* Can't believe that after all the changes and hopes build for this places as we live close by, the food is still poor. Burger patties are frozen, bread breaks apart (plus mine had a hair on!) and the batter for the fish and chips is very thick and freeze flavoured.
