Lovely local farm shop on Hinton Farm just outside Mudford and run by two delightful sisters. Lots of great local quality fresh produce (vegetables and bread inclusive), all well presented, and which lasts much longer than tried and tested supermarket equivalents. Loads of choice with locally made relishes, sauces, pickles, flour, and crackers. Chilled and frozen meats, their dairy milk, cheeses and ice creams. All at reasonable prices. They have also opened up parts of the store for local crafts and artists including consumables such as candles and artwork. All on a working farm with Guernsey cows, manic chickens and charming cats. Having done a recent special shop at the Red Barn for Christmas has helped stock up on other goods I wouldnt ordinarily get at normal supermarkets and the items stay fresh for a lot longer too from Red Barn. Better quality local goods. Also gave me a chance to take some more photos....

I would consider this a 'Barn find'. What a lovely quaint little shop! I drive the main a359 nearly every day and see the signs for the barn shop but never had the chance to stop so I popped over one Saturday morning and was really impressed to find that I could get artisan baked bread, fresh unpasteurised milk (straight from the cow about 2 hours before I got to the shop), fresh eggs and a host of other goodies. Even though it's a small shop, I could have spent a lot of time (And money) there. Looking forward to going back again. By the way, expect to come out of the shop to find a hen or two warming themselves on the bonnet of your car!
We have been buying goods from Red Barn for years. Katherine and Sarah are helpful and very friendly. We're big fans!
