We had an excellent experience with Marcus cooking a meal for our family of 7 last year for a special birthday meal. Marcus took time to find out what dishes and food we enjoyed and made 3 separate starters and 3 different main courses with a choice for dessert too. He prepared a lot of things before he arrived and cooked it in our kitchen. He was very comfortable to have around and the quality and quantity of food was top class and there were leftovers for the next day. He really made our evening and it meant that we were able to enjoy the company rather than slaving and stressing cooking. He left us shortly after completing the desserts and cleaned the kitchen to the state it was in before he arrived. Would highly recommend him and would use again in a flash .

Real Food Chefs came highly recommended to us after our Head Chef at the Grove Arms didn't return after his days off. Marcus calmed us all down as he took full control of our 7 strong brigade and turned things around quickly and efficiently. Our food went from being quite average to outstanding in a matter of days. Our issues with the business were ironed out and we thankfully have turned things around. i will finish this with a big thumbs up to Real food Chefs , Marcus knows his stuff for sure
Marcus catered for us during a recent stay in the lakes and it was absolutely fantastic. Not only great food from start to finish, Marcus is a top bloke and got the balance between cooking versus engaging with us perfectly. Planning on using him for our wedding when the time comes - would definitely recommend!

We booked Real Food Chefs to help celebrate my wife’s birthday with a small dinner party. Marcus and Davis were warm, friendly, the food was fantastic and the kitchen was left sparkling clean. From our initial booking Marcus offered a brilliant menu with lots of variety and kept us up to date in the run up to our event about the great local produce he’d be using, which was a really nice touch. On arrival Marcus and Davis were so friendly, we felt instantly comfortable having them there. They were there to answer any questions and tell you about the food, but not intrusive and never too much. The main event, the food, was phenomenal and was incomparable to our other experiences with private chef hire. The flavours were well balanced, food beautifully cooked and well presented…so good I forgot to take any pictures! As a meat eater, I’m always reluctant to try my wife’s vegetarian dish, however the vegetarian wellington was so tasty I had to try it a couple of times. At the end of an amazing three courses, I headed to the kitchen, nervous of what I’d find and to my complete surprise the kitchen was tidier and cleaner than Marcus had fount it, crazy considering he’d prepared so many different dishes for each course. Thank you again for a lovely evening, we will be booking Real Food Chefs again soon.
We asked Marcus to cater for us for our Christmas Party. Marcus went above and beyond to make sure everything was absolutely perfect for us, from a bespoke menu to even presenting us all with a little gift each. The food and service was fantastic - thank you Marcus!
