So happy to be close again to this Milwaukee landmark! The spice (heat) is in the meat, so the hotter you wish, the more meat. Like iconic Chili John's in Green Bay, but not as greasy. Chicago & chili hot dogs too. Online ordering & curbside pickup works well. Prices are a bit high, but it's a treat. We always get extra for a second meal.

The food is great! The mild still has a kick, which is just right! We were in town from Texas, and this chili is not southern chili, shocking I know, it's fantastic Northern Chili.
One of the must stops when in Milwaukee or looking for a good lunch spot. Friendly staff.
Happiness in a bowl. In an age of fusion and innovation, Real Chili keeps it simple. Delicious beef chili, with or without noodles. Throw on grated cheese, diced onions and jalapenos. I get hungry just writing this.
I love the food here and is probably one of my favorite places to eat locally in the Milwaukee area. I've eaten here a lot during my time at school down the street and have been coming back for the past 7 years. I tip generously here (especially during COVID) and love convincing friends to try this Milwaukee restaurant staple. The last couple of times that I have eaten dinner at this location, the service has not been good. Staff seems irritated that they had to serve us and this wasn't the first time we've felt this way. Today, I got my food at 7:30 PM and was done eating by 7:45 PM (they closed at 8 PM). When I went to throw out food and clean up, staff was not happy (kind of yelled at us) that we put food in a trash can that they claimed was empty but had items already in it.
