The ONLY place for food & drink on the river Thames in Caversham, and a charming one at that. Whether it’s a light refreshment after a visit to Sandy park in Christchurch meadows, a walk along the river on the Thames Pathway or if you’re parking at Hills Meadows Car Park (travellers now cleared off the site and car park now fully operational), stop off here for a warm drink and tasty snack. Sandwiches, hot chocolate with marshmallows & a pot of tea are my favs - the coffee is also nice but don’t expect artisan. Outdoor tables & chairs, both on the grass and at the front of the barge boat make it great for those doing only outdoor things (like me) during COVID for fresh air, or venture in the warm and cosy narrow boat and watch swans float by the hatch windows on the river. Loo also on board. Their current sign says Reading Borough Council has approved their Covid safety measures too for extra peace of mind. A lovely place to relax on a river walk, and who doesn’t love being on a boat!

I was told about this place yesterday so took my lovely lady for a full English this morning. What a delight! Brilliant food with local meat from Jennings in Caversham accompanied with a great americano (the other half had a lovely leaf tea). Right on the Thames so couldn't ask for a more gorgeous setting. The cakes looked amazing but we couldn't squeeze any in so we'll save that for next time. Great food, amazing coffee, lovely people and at a fair price. 5* from me!

I play tennis at the courts next to this barge and it is brilliant! Such a nice place to relax outside in the sun next to the river. The owners are lovely - the woman is incredibly friendly and makes everything a song and dance which is such a breath of fresh air amidst all the anxiety in the world. Incredibly funny and friendly, the atmosphere is so relaxed. Go and support!

Delicious Sunday breakfast in cozy surroundings with pleasant service Four of us had the full English breakfast (sausage, bacon, egg, black pudding, mushrooms, tomato, beans and toast) with either coffee or hot chocolate all for just over 30. Food is good, lots of butcher quality meat (rather than just supermarket bought) and the owners are super friendly. They had their little puppy, Bailey, with them which may not be everyone's cup of tea but he is super friendly and loves to be petted so we were good with that!

What a quaint little treasure we found just by chance ! The experience was great on a traditional barge, the scone are home made, light as a feather . Sandwiches were full of filling and the tea, was traditional tea leaves not a bag in sight. Well done guys !!! Even the boat drive through thrilled us to see !! Thank you and finished our break lovely Young’s from Kent
