I visit this carvery more than I should but the food and service is excellent and the prices are great too. It’s a far superior experience all round compared to the next nearest chain carvery. To echo many of the comments about Leela, in particular, he’s great and really makes the experience. But the service from the rest of the team is also consistently good. With businesses keen to attract business during the pandemic, this carvery has been offering regular 50% off promotions, which has been appreciated. But even at full price, meals here are very affordable. The restaurant is working safely and constantly changing things around to keep up with the ever-changing covid-19 regulations laid down by the government. Highly recommended for an inexpensive meal in Reading.

Very nice and clean place. Friendly staff. We were served by Richard who was looking after us. Provided excellent service. Food was very good, fresh and good portion.
Fantastic tasty food, friendly staff, great portion sizes and well priced. This restaurant has been my recent go to place and I would definitely recommend the carvery.
Leila the man that serves the breakfast is wonderful.....a real showman which adds to the customer service. He is a star. On top of that the staff on a whole are lovely and thus quickly become a regular breakfast haunt for me! Fantastic place and all covid rules adhered to.

I really do not understand why, but I always get a poor service from that particular staff member (receipt as no 5586). For example when I entered the pub today he said if I had a "bookie" without even saying hi. Then he said i could have 50% discount if I had booked through app. I said I could do it now, but he said "no, it will take time to download", so I had to pay a full price. Then he pointed me in a bar area where I had to sit and wait to be called as there were three people being served. I waited for 15 mins and then went back to him and he just waived me to go to restaurant to get a meal. I observed how he deals with our customers and he is polite and courteous. I am not sure why he is so short with me. Tried complaining on their website - the online form would not let me through - says did not recognise my specific reason for enquiring, even thought I did it. Shambles.
Special shout out to Bikash who served my sister, mum and I tonight. He was ever so lovely and friendly. Also the chefs, Leela especially!! Haven't been here years, but will definitely be coming back soon! Can't knock the service. Social distancing very well organised and carried out!!
Nice staff. Went for a roast. All was okay but there was so much fat on the beef I couldn't eat it. Turkey was fine though. Very good prices .
