Fantastic place! Great friendly accurate service, tasty food and drinks at great prices, nice venue and atmosphere cannot fault this place. The service the staff provide here is first class! Thank you for a great visit

Music Bingo night at the Botanist tonight (Wednesday) thoroughly enjoyed this. Decent pint, and even managed to bag a sharing desert for round two bingo line!!! Delicious. Thoroughly recommended... nice atmosphere and not too busy. Decent food too!

very good service and food. very friendly staff. from the moment I walked through their front door I was looked after. oh, and good wine too. If you are around Reading, this place definitely is worth a visit

Somethings changed here, I used to love drinking and eating at The Botanist. The feel and culture has gone. It doesn't feel as fun and the staff come across far less relaxed as they did. Shame, I had many good laughs in this bar. They also charge service on every drink you order as the bar area is closed due to lockdown. Be aware. It's not cheap.

I quite liked the atmosphere and decor. I got the chicken and chorizo hanging kebab but found the chicken was very dry. The chorizo was nice. The garlic bread was literally a loaf of bread which had a not-very-garlicky cheesy sauce, but it was light and fluffy. Cauliflower wings were very good. Good selection of beers. I will definitely consider going again and try the lamb kebab instead. I loved the garlic oil and chips!
