I went there to volunteer for an event hosted my the Reading Public library. It was beautiful and elegant setting. The parking is free to the customers and very convenient right next to the hotel. Which is very convenient, if you ever had to pleasure of finding parking in Reading on a Friday, you will be very appreciate of the easy parking. The atmosphere was also lively. Would definitely like to come back.

This hotel is very elegant on the inside. I love the history and the look and feel of it. I was there for an Atlantic Avenue and Able Moving Hearts show. It was a great place for a show. The bar was old school and cool as well.

Update: When I gently complained this morning the gm said the place is recently under new management, and he comped the room and offered another free night. Needs upkeep, but may be improving. ...Not what we expected for the price. The "historic" feel was apparent in the dust and dinginess of the room. Cigarette burns in the bedspread (of the non smoking room) The jacuzzi tub in the suite was broken, the elevator said "permit on file in office" and sounded like a train. The staff, seemed polite, but exhausted from hearing complaints. I Would NOT stay here again. (Unless I was as drunk as the wedding party in the lobby.) I bet this place was fabulous in its day. But today, was not it's day.

The Abraham Lincoln Hotel is a bit rough around the edges but the staff more than make up for any short comings. The hotel staff is wonderful. From the front desk, to housekeeping, to the hotel bartenders, every staff member was friendly, respectful and engaging. Because of the staff, we would stay here again. Our room was clean, quiet, and the bed comfortable. Our room had been renovated and met our needs. The breakfast buffet was good for being included in the price and the hours it was served, 7am to 11am, were very convenient There were several selections and any food selection that ran out was replaced in a timely manner. The hotel is located downtown, in a somewhat transitional part, but there is not anything to do within walking distance.

I loved the place, very classy and well kept building. Staff is great and the pub inside, Abe's , is really good and the bartenders are great. Great place but get there soon, it's changing over to a apartment building.

I actually saw the Mason ballroom #3 which is a smaller room quite nice for meetings but not for a wedding or baby shower. The ceilings were low but not what I was really looking for.

Came for the "Fire and Ice" Chili cook-off. 70s feel to the building, but nice overall. RIP John Phillip Sousa (he died there apparently)
