We visited the Tatra region before COVID and can't wait to go back again. Alena has advised us on many family activities and places to visit, which we would simply not know about without her help. She has an excellent knowledge of the local area and can keep a family with a teenager and an early teen busy! There are plenty of hiking opportunities, however, we would have not stumble upon some of the fun activities without her guidelines. Highly recommend getting in touch with Alena for your holiday in Tatra mountains.

Alena at Tatra Ecapes orchestrated the best short break I have ever experienced. It was my first visit to Slovakia and I was blown away, so much so that I have already asked Tatra Escapes to plan another trip for myself and a group of friends. It was fantastic to have the trip tailored for me and with Alena's intimate knowledge of attractions and places to visit, I was able to experience the beauty of the Tatra Mountains which left me literally speechless. Warm Slovakian welcomes, traditional fayre (Tatratea is an eye opener!) and I even saw a wild brown bear in the forest! The excursions were fun filled and plentiful and very reasonably priced and the transport was clean and timely. I cannot recommend Alena and Tatra Escapes enough, and i cannot wait for our next visit!
Just returned from a fabulous 3-Day Couples Retreat in the High Tatras organised by the wonderful Alena of Tatra Escapes. We absolutely loved the incredibly beautiful High Tatras! On Day 1, we visited Strbské Pleso (mountains and beautiful lake) which was very beautiful and interesting (do read the fascinating information boards as you walk around the stunning lake). Then, we enjoyed the fabulous Absolute Romance Meal (a 4 course private meal with our own waitress) at a stunning local hotel - wonderful food, great service and very romantic! It was beautiful relaxing in the outside pool afterwards looking at the pretty lights. On Day 2, we spent the day at Aquacity (a huge indoor and outdoor water park) in Poprad. It was awesome - we loved the slides, heated pools and jacuzzis and the special Spa Centre there was fabulous! Loved the saunas and steam rooms and beautiful pools. On Day 3, we went to the Belianska Cave! We can't recommend this enough! It was a truly extraordinary experience - a stunning cave with paths, slopes and steps all the way through the amazing interior. It's quite a climb (870 steps) though it's still suitable for people of all ages (including kids). It was truly amazing and breathtaking and something we will always remember! We stayed at the Hotel Beatrice in Tatranská Lomnica - a cross between a hotel and an apartment - and we went on a bed & breakfast basis. The rooms were lovely - bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/living/dining room with balcony - with lovely wooden beams in the ceiling and a wooden-style bathroom). Breakfast was great with a range of hot and cold continental food. Alena did a fantastic job planning our itinerary and making all the arrangements before our trip. Her communications , suggestions, emails and useful attachments were first class - Thank You, Alena! We would strongly recommend Tatra Escapes to anyone thinking of enjoying a trip to the wonderful High Tatras in Slovakia! Tom & Jana
