A much revamped and new station but, strangly held back by it's 70's booking hall. When I was passing through, the vast majority of the up-Escalators from the platforms were out of use! Network Rail at it again....
Reading Station has a couple of coffee options, an M&S and a couple of small gift-style shops before the ticket barriers. Platforms are well labelled and toilets are both before and after the barriers. Staff are normally helpful and screens are in all major spaces so you can see train times. Clock and collect tickets or also use QR codes on your phone. Now also on the Elizabeth Line.
