I went in recently with a slightly overweight parcel for posting abroad. The cost was 35 plus. The Lady advised and helped me to repackage the item, reducing the weight just enough to reduce the postage down to the 14.50 mark. I use the Tilehurst Post Office frequently and always receive the 5 Star treatment no matter the service and despite a sometime temperamental system and challenging queues. The shop has a Fabulous selection of Cards - Far better than larger shops - and a passport photo booth which provides the codes to upload your application online.
