Nice hiking spot with some good views, although most are obstructed to some degree. The strange manner of trail blazes can be slightly confusing without a good map or guide of the area (many colors and color combinations with few written directional guides). Also, the smell of garbage was prominent in a few areas of the trail, from the city I suppose. Worth a look if you're in the area, but I wouldn't make this a destination hike.

This was an extremely well marked trail. We knew that we needed to follow the orange and purple trail, perfectly mapped. We definitely wish that there weren’t as many view, lookout spots that were covered in telephone poles.
Very pretty. Be careful when you get to the \town\ side though. It's easy to wander on to someone's property. And chances are you may be subject to someone blasting music out of their parked car from nearby houses while you are trying to get your peaceful nature walk in. Stick to the south trail before you get to the Empire Wrecking Dump for the best views and least noise.
Very nice loop trail, highly recommend. Orange trail is approximately 6.28 mile with mainly railroad grade 1% or so except starting point at Klapperthal Road just about 1/4 mile SW it climbs a few hundred feet in switchbacks that's not as bad as the that one SW near Klapperthal Junction know as the Lectric Slide. We recommend going counter clockwise easier going up hill then sliding downhill.
Medium level loop that it's done in about 1hr 40min. It has several sections that are beautiful. There are closed portions during hunting season
