Some fairly sub par products here. 40mm push fit pvc couplers were too small to fit pipe in and I got some dry wall fixings that refused to bite so we're effectively useless. Both items however were returned by friendly, courteous and apologetic staff and the store is well stocked so not all bad.

Went in to buy some chalkboard paint and was given help by a guy with a moustache and a beard called Chris. He was fantastic and went above and beyond to give us all the info we needed. Chris really is a great asset to the store and deserves recognition.
It's a good place and usually nice and empty. Unfortunately all of the packages for every unit of the item I wanted were damaged. Usually a good place to come, if a tad more expensive than b&q
Poor store, uninterested staff, sections were closed and not lit properly and the store is poorly organised. I believe it's closing soon but that doesn't excuse how bad the place was.

Convenient and offers reasonable choice but less (choice) than B&Q and too often an item is not in stock. Personnel are helpful - if you are lucky to get their attention (present in numbers but rather busy).
A reasonable Homebase, which has a fair amount of stock. But it's not the largest around, and it feels a bit stretched when you go there. Having said that, you can get most of what you need.
Not enough stock in store (need extra paint to complete job). Can't order over the phone - need to go into store and pay before they will replenish stock in any reasonable time frame. Internet allows ordering to home at a charge, but it will only allow for store collection if it is in stock!!!! SO I have to go to Customer Services in the shop to order and pay for paint before they will order it in for me!!! Don't mind paying - do mind having to go to the shop!!!!!! STOCK CONTROL!!!!!
