I have been working at Caremark West Berks and Reading office for a week now and here is my honest review from the perspective of an office staff member: - The staff here have been so welcoming and friendly, helping and answering all questions I've had. They have made me feel useful and needed, and taken the time to make sure I have varied work to do. - I feel 100% accepted here - this is a business that epitomises tolerance and understanding of equality/diversity and inclusion policies - There is a lot of work to do. Our company has a not-so-great CQC rating, but the managers have a fantastic action plan to improve our service and prove that we are safe and well-led. We are implementing new systems to keep our files up-to-date with the required training, and to ensure that our carers arrive on time and stay for the entire visit - There is a lot of work to do...I know I just wrote this, but I want to emphasise that it will get done. This franchise of Caremark is serious about its future, and above all, wants to deliver the best possible service to our clients - If you want to work as a carer, this is a great time to join Caremark. Our recruitment process is very professional, training will be comprehensive and you have a team of supportive office staff ready to help - including me! Above all, I understand why the CQC rated Caremark as "Requires Improvement", but I hope I have conveyed that we are really eager to improve. I have worked for Caremark West Berkshire and Reading from 2017 until recently i have had the best experience in a job the customers were fantastic i was supported from Supervisors and Team in the office i have left to have a baby now but plan to go back soon
I have had Caremark looking after my dad for over a year. They have been wonderful. Living angels to him. I was upset that after a spell in hospital, the contact had been tendered to another company. Hopefully, Caremark will be able to fit him back into their schedules. I would not hesitate to recommend.
I'm giving Caremark 'One Star' only because a 'No stars' option doesn't appear to be available. This company arranged to visit my elderly parents one morning last month to do an initial assessment of their needs, but failed to turn up, or to provide any explanation/apology. I rang them that afternoon, and someone promised that 'her colleague' would ring me back. No-one rang, so I registered my concern with the Care Quality Commission, who have advised me that I need to lodge a complaint directly with the company. I've emailed them to ask for details of their official complaints procedure (they're supposed to have one), but I'm not holding my breath. I'm appalled that they received a 'Good' CQC report and hope the CQC will re-assess as soon as possible.
A friend of mine was working for Caremark. Really bad experience. And not only her. The rest of carers had the same problems. Bad laboral conditions, not information enough... Not training enough to do the job...
A group of swindlers who use foreign people to employ them without giving them their rights and their payments. I had a bad experience with them. Liars and rude
Mum had a very poor experience wouldn't recommend at all. Followed their complaints procedure and they couldn't even respond at all. From some carers to management poor show
