I recently instructed Alexander Morgan in the Private Client team regarding a Will and I was really happy with the service he provided, to the point, fast turn around and extremely thorough in all areas. The fee was also very competitive, I highly recommend.

I used BDB Pitmans for a recent property purchase. Initially, they were quick to respond to my emails, but once the transaction was underway, they were very slow. Sometimes it would be over two weeks with no contact from them, so I would call/email for an update, and then have to wait another 3 or 4 working days for a response. In addition to this, my purchase was dealt with by at least three different solicitors, who required all the original documentation to be separately sent over. Finally, and the main reason for the two stars, was the lack of professionalism. I was continually asked for the same information more than once. I felt like I was constantly having to be proactive in asking them for updates on my purchase, and even suggesting that they start the next steps in the process. When all was said and done, it took a lot longer to complete this purchase than it should have done, and I believe that this was due to BDB Pitmans poor workmanship. The two stars are for the fact that I was actually able to complete on the purchase, and there was one solicitor who I dealt with towards the end of the transaction who was both helpful and informative.

I have used Pitmans for several different matters and have always been impressed by their honesty and can do attitude.

It was hugely refreshing to work with a firm that were both honest and to the point. I would highly recommend them.

I was recommended to engage Claire Burton at Pitman’s to support me during my divorce and what a great recommendation that was! Claire provided pragmatic, commercial and realistic advice - all delivered in a personable way, during what was a challenging period for me. I don’t like surprises and wanted to be fully appraised of the likely twists and turns and Claire met my expectations in all areas. The end result was a settlement that was fair and minimal money wasted on arguing. Post-divorce I have also used the services of Pitman’s to update my will ensuring all my financial matters are up to date. If you want an excellent solicitor who is pragmatic, savvy and knows her stuff then look no further than Claire and Pitman’s – you will not be disappointed!

I found this firm to be very sub average for app development advice I engaged them for. The billing administration is also terrible. Firstly their primary solicitor - William Coggan - was always late to our calls. Sometimes by over an hour. Then, in spite of having agreed a fixed fee he is now trying to charge me some random amount that is about triple the agreed fixed fee. When I email their accounts department - including providing the emails wherein we agreed the contract, they ignore me and just keep posting me the same old overblown, unjustified fee. I would strongly advise anyone seeking legal advice from this firm - at least from Mr. Coogan - consider alternatives and keep a close eye on the invoices they pay. Of course, I can't speak for the other solicitors at the practice.

I would never suggest to use this firm. A culture of underperformance and arrogance is a woefully poor combination.
