Amazing igloos and perfect place to admire the northern lights. His location on the Ranuajärvi side is simply perfect for the winter as northern lights spot and for the summer to go swimming on the lake. It is really cozy and the sauna and the kitchen are the perfect touch! Thank you so much to the friendly stuff! Lorenzo Mirandola

This place was spectacular! We checked in late afternoon and it was already dark but everything looked so surreal. The igloos are well insulated and provides enough privacy with its up to torso curtains so you will wake up to natural sunlight. The little igloo apartment is well designed, there's a small dining table, kitchen and sauna in the bathroom. The dinner was okay but the breakfast was even better! I found the selection here was better than in the main Gulo village breakfast. The views surrounding the igloos was so picturesque. Definitely recommend!
Modern, new, well equipped. Stayed 1 night in winter. Heated windows ensured clear view. Night was filled with stars. Just outside the igloo I could sit with a chair and watch the frozen lake.
Apparently the latest state of the art glass igloo! Not disappointed and loved the sauna. Was hoping to catch the northern lights but unfortunately it was heavy cloud coverage on the night we were there ! Nevertheless had a great time and kudos to the cook who made an amazing reindeer curry - Thai style ! Win!
Pay 5 star prices, get 1 star service. We spent 2 nights here (504/night). The lodge and the igloos are incredible, the scenery is perfect, however the whole experience was spoiled by the staff. They lack the understanding of the service industry and expect you to do everything yourself. We even had to take our own bags to our igloo. They took every opportunity to upsell us things we didn't need, like a 250 adventure to find the aurora borealis when weather conditions clearly indicated it wouldn't be showing. The guides on our excursions made our trip more fun, especially Jaime who was patient and easy going. We were overcharged incorrectly for drinks we ordered and overcharged again at check out. I would have paid an extra 110 had I not checked the invoice. Overall, you'll enjoy the scenery and the igloo, but be prepared to pay steep prices for everything you do there.
Stunning views of the north sky and lake. In-sauna and kitchenette was great. Town of Ranua is a 30min walk or a 10min car/taxi ride and has a supermarket. Visit the wildlife park/zoo while you are here!

Superb ! Absolutely superb! Not cheap but worth every penny. Staff is very friendly. Food in restaurant, which is on premises are delicious. Sleeping in glass igloo is amazing experience, especially for people who lives in urban areas. If you lucky enough, you can see northern lights and it will make your night unforgettable. Just be mindful, it is all glass in sleeping section, so if you want, you can use some very convenient shades.
