So we did not follow the AllTrails app appropriately and ended up walking up a long gravel road before beginning the yellow trail. Our goal was to take the blue trail up, yellow trail down. DO NOT DO THIS! We were very fortunate to run into some more experienced hikers who told us it was not a good idea to take the yellow trail down (extremely steep). Nonetheless, this was a great hike with some amazing views!!! We went on a Tuesday morning, and we were alone on the mountain. We really enjoyed the Chapel View, but there are two views past that as well (like for the old fire pile). The elevation is steep for the average person, but doable.

Pine Mountain is a hidden gem. It's a short, easy hike to tge summit. The views are best on tge cliffs just before the summit. I did a night hike to check out a meteor shower. The weather was perfect without a cloud in the sky. If you're in the Mount Washington, Dolly Copp area and want an easy, rewarding hike then Pine Mountain is a great option.
Nice short loop trail. The ledges provide a little challenge and frequent views on an otherwise modest hike.
We did the Pine Mountain Trail from Gorham, starting from Union Street. It’s about 2.4 mile one-way. Views are amazing from the top. Make sure to go to Chapel Rock.
Great short hike with fantastic views.
