Great food and well protected in these strange times. I think booking in advance is essential, but still cosy and friendly atmosphere. Good walks just around the corner to burn off the deserts.

Just the most perfect view of inlet, boats, sunshine on water, etc, etc. Good glass of wine and food not too bad. Not Cordon Blue but given the circumstances, very enjoyable. Something for both vegetarian and gluten free people.

Well priced delicious wine and good food despite a limited menu due to Covid-19 restrictions. What you can't put a price on was the glorious sunset over the opposite riverbank. We were lucky 2 nights in a row.

Lovely riverside pub in quite a remote location but well worth a visit. Good food, friendly and efficient staff and great views over the river and surrounding countryside. Recommended!

A little gem, great scenery super home made foods and a cracking pint of ale. Reasonably priced. Small beach for the children to sit or play, also great for walking the dog. A bonus it's dog friendly (bring the mother in law) 30 miles from Colchester we'll worth it. Give it a try
