What is memorialized is indeed significant and the related artifacts certainly deserve museum placement. I have to say that there are ample signs of the dedication and enthusiasm of the volunteers who maintain and operate this place. This is also quite a good collection of objects on display and a lot of people have generously contributed objects to the museum. As unpopular as it may sound, I have to say that this place is badly in need of a professional makeover. There is no doubt that a qualified curator could substantially improve the effectiveness of this place. As I indicated above, the people who make this place available to the public are obviously committed, it is just that they lack the skills (and no doubt the funds) to do it proper justice.

Great place to visit, free to enter but please make a donation, nice cafe. There is also a RAF museum next door worth a visit, thus does charge but again worth paying. A mixture off pictures from both

Interesting and informative museum. The spitfire simulator experience was fun and value for money. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Wonderful afternoon at the Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museum, was heightened by a superb Spitfire flight simulator, which my wife had previously booked. It's the closest I'm going to to flying a Spitfire, and I loved every minute of. 30 for 30 minutes. Its worth every penny. Don't be put off when your first see. It's fantastic. The museum is also a good record for a remarkable pair of machines and men and women who flew them. I'm going back as soon as I can.

For a small museum it was very good. We stumbled upon it by accident and decided to go in. We are very pleased that we did. There is easy access disables parking, the museum has a restaurant, and various things to buy. Highly recommended for a quick visit.

Small but fascinating museum. Lots of interesting displays. Despite the small size we found enough to keep us interested for a couple of hours. The cafe is simple but adequate for snacks or small meals. The shop has a great range of aircraft related books you won't find elsewhere. A great opportunity to see these iconic aircraft close up.

Excellent memorial museum. We experienced the Spitfire flying simulation which is a static recreated cockpit of the original, a former bomber pilot guided us through the controls and helped us fly and land in a 20 minute sortie over modern day London and Kent.
