RC GIT i use this as I can't use stronger swear words as the younger generation might read this review I am new to the RC world thanks to my grandchildren so know nothing and took some vehicles to him for some help with fixing and battery issues Well I've never met such a rude man in all my life And had my grandson not been there I would had told him so. He could not have been more degrading if he had tried told me in front of my grandson that the 4 models were rubbish and we're only fit for the bin that the airial that needed fixing on the hand set of the lorry was a waste of his time as it was a ready to run model and should be thrown away the car was old and rubbish so don't bother spending money and the helicopter was rubbish because they didn't make the battery's anymore and why would he want an electric helicopter when he could have one with a proper motor well you ignorant idiot you lost as turners in Dover sorted it all out I couldn't be happier and Im sorry but if you were to go out of business today I wouldnt miss you and i believe with your attitude to customer service no one else would miss you except for having to travel the extra distance to a more reputable and friendly outfit ABSOLUTELY DISCUSTED YOUR A COMPLETELY VILE MAN

Traditional model shop. Caters for the airplane and train crowd. The owner has been there for years and appears experienced and knowledgeable. However he can come across as gruff if he doesn't know you. This is a shame as I'm sure his attitude costs him trade.
If you are looking for model railway bits especially if you are looking for any guage other than oo/HO you will be very dissappointed as poorly stocked . However model kits and rc models are well catered for.

I went to ramsgate models today and it was a shame to see this dated shop with very little choice of stock and a gruff shop keeper. I thought he was closing down! Unfortunately this is a shop that hasn’t moved with the times and got internet savvy therefore the internet is going to kill it off, terrible shame as I would rather go to a shop and speak to someone about my requirements and be greeted with a can do attitude.
Other reviews cry about how the owner is miserable and grumpy but if you stop judging him and actually take the time to talk to him you will see that he is a genuinely nice bloke. I have used this shop for the past 20 years. The shop is only small so it wont always have what you are looking for but the owner is only to happy to make an order for you. I would rather place an order with ramsgate models and wait a few days than give a multi million pound company even more money that they dont need. Would be sad to see the internet destroy another local business. Recently ramsgate models have started selling some really good cheap second hand kits.
