Very welcoming hosts, beautiful food and great atmosphere with live music

We dined at Loxandra last Friday night (a group of 5). The servings were plentiful, and the food delicious. The loukoumades (my favourite) were divine - the best I've tried outside Greece. A must try! The restaurant was beautifully styled with thoughtfully chosen artifacts, and the service was fast and attentive. This was the best Greek food and hospitality we've experienced in Sydney. Highly recommended.
This hidden gem is an authentic Greek restaurant. From the moment you enter the restaurant you feel the warmth and the hospitality. The cold water and the small cheese platter comes ahead till you are ready to order. The staff is professional and friendly. I had dinner 11 Dec 18 with a friend and we both could get enough of the fresh Mousaka and Klefriko (lamb in the oven] with baked lemon potatoes. The meat was melting in your mouth. This restaurant is something else Sydney needed. I will without a doubt will be happy to bring my Aussie Friends to taste the Real Greek Cusine. VERY SUITBLE FOR VEGANS. AMASING I'm coming back keep up the good work... and of course complementary dessert Mastiha liqueur with baklava and Galaktobureko.. is " the icing on the cake " Sydney you have to try it at least once. Perhaps background quality music (endehna) without the commercials would be more suitable
I went and ate ate Loxandra last Saturday night. It’s a great little authentic Greek restaurant with very tasty dishes. We had the octopus, kleftiko and the Cypriot treasure. The dishes were amazing, particularly the Cypriot treasure. I would definitely recommend. They had live music which added to the atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed this place, I will definitely be coming back. Thank you
A group of four eagerly dined there last week, as it had come recommended. However we were disappointed. The dips and bread were delicious. The prawn dish was a very small serving of ...I suspect, were a small frozen variety, that were not of a delicious standard. The cabbage salad, which we thought sounded original, was rather dry and very ordinary. The snapper dish was surprisingly small, tasteless and cannot compare with similar snapper dishes that have been of tasty and superior standard, even if the price was similar. The Greek coffee and the loukamathes were fine. Regretfully we will not be returning, even though, I like to give venues a second chance. Finally, the live music was rather nice and I sincerely hope the restaurant improves the vitality of their dishes as success is a deliriously wonderful feeling.

Disappointment and the biggest one were the Sardines...far from Greek authentic as not fresh but seemed out of a can of small sardines. Other dishes slightly better but not much and certainly not value for money. Friendy though hence 3 stars at best!
