Super friendly staff and the ramen were delicious. I had the shoyu ramen with pork and the flavour and amount were top notch. Unfortunately I was here during the Rona pandemic so I could only get take away. They asked if I wanted the broth separate cause it was quite a walk back to the hotel which was super nice!

To be honest I was super sceptical and biased coming here but I left more content than I'd expected. I haven't entirely made up my mind about that shoyu tonkotsu broth yet but it was definitely tasty yet very tangy almost peppery at the end which made me pretty thirsty. The ajitama had the right waxy consistency but was a bit light in flavor, the noodles were less chewy than I like them but are homemade, which is a big plus and the solely chashu was actually delicious and melt-in-your-mouth. A lil too much seaweed and bamboo shoots in comparison to the other toppings maybe, for my preference anyway. Service war very nice and friendly and I am sure that speed will increase as time and experience goes. Overall this was promising and I'm happy that someone introduced Freiburg to the ramen world. Prices are a bit steep though for what you'll get back in size and toppings. As in my case almost Eur14,- got me only one slice of chashu and half an ajitama, which was a bit of a bummer. Btw, didn't care too much for those chicken gyoza (Eur5,90 ). Anyhow, I'll be back to see how the miso and dandan bowls compare and will update this post and rating accordingly. Pro Update: - Service is still friendly and seemed faster - The dandan ramen (chicken) is pretty good and tasty - egg and chashu were excellent - Spoons are much smaller now Contra Update: - The dandan ramen could use a but more spice for my taste (or maybe some add on Japanese chili powder to spice it up yourself at the table) - the extra topping of chashu gets you only 1 single slice - that's not much of an extra btw - and costs you Eur2,90 extra for an already pricy bowl!!!! I love the taste but won't order this again.
A bit pricy but is the best ramen in Freiburg. Also, the most authentic.
